SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS—June 6, 2018— Amazon (AWS), IBM Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle Cloud top the A-List in Mobile Cloud Index based on recently released research by Compass Intelligence. The A-List in Mobile Cloud Index includes companies providing cloud services targeting mobile devices including data, applications, and related services. Included in the list are those companies that offer cloud-based storage and document sharing services formulated for mobile devices. Also included are those companies providing services to create and optimize cloud-based applications for mobile devices. While there is significant cross-over between mobile cloud companies and traditional cloud companies, rankings differ based on the degree of specific mobile offerings available. Based on a proprietary research framework and model, these top companies scored roughly 80 to 96 points out of a total of 100 points per the index. Amazon (Amazon Web Services) tops the A-List in Mobile Cloud Index reaching a total of 96 points on the index, followed by IBM Cloud with a close 95 points. Rounding out the rest of the top 10 include companies such as Microsoft, Google, Oracle, Alibaba, Dell EMC, Adobe, SAP, and Salesforce.com. In April of this year, AWS unveiled its Secrets Manager, which allows developers to programmatically insert the credentials their applications need without writing them into the source code itself or setting them as environment variables.
