Small Business Managed Services Spending...

Recessions bring about business necessity. It has never been a better time to launch a managed or "x-as-a-service" business model. This is because businesses, big and small, are carefully scrutinizing their spending. That's right, Managed Services are in favor, especially in Small Business (firms with 5 to 99 employees). From hosted email to website hosting to Software-as-a-Service to online back-up to managed applications, small businesses are buying a myriad of managed services today and will keep doing so tomorrow.

Over the next several years, Compass Intelligence expects strong growth in this category, with telecom operators expected to be some of the big winners among small businesses. This forecast shows managed services spending in small businesses for network-based services, such as web hosting and online back-up that are generally delivered by telecom/service providers.
